random updates on my mundane university life;

i just killed this fly (with all the rage and hate i have for flies that i could muster) in my room with a rolled up stack of lecture notes. the end result was a very badly squashed fly on the window, plus pink blood. eeeek.

i broke my nailclipper while trying to cut my big toenails :( crazy bitches were too tough for the poor thing. i bought a new one (much bigger) yesterday for 2 dollars, i hope that lasts.

a few weeks ago there was a possum in my room in the middle of the night. i left my window open to the maximum because it was quite hot that night, and i didn't notice the pipes to the right of the window outside. i mean, you wouldn't think much of it even if you did notice them (at least i didn't). so i woke up to the sounds of my many mugs (one for soups, one for cereal, one for water ...haha) clinking and needless to say i was scared out of my wits being the coward i am, i opened my eyes and saw this big thing with a long big tail on my desk running back out the window and i gasped out loud. common sense would tell you to quickly close the window but noooo i proceeded to hide under my sheets. anyway the next morning i found lots of little paw prints all over the desk and my food shelf in a mess. it didn't take anything though o.o

we had a girls' day out on sunday because it was such beauuuutiful weather and we didn't want to be stuck indoors when you finally get a bright, sunny day after a whole week of depressingly cold and wet weather. there was a bit of rain before we actually hit the beach so we took refuge in mcdonalds, but at about 4 the sky cleared and the weather was lovelyyyy :) then followed the 300 or so photos, and some attempts at getting a tan (not me of course, my skin just gets burnt). we didn't stay for the sunset because that would be at 8 :S

met up with (ai) jane yesterday evening! she goes by 'jane' now ;) we had heavenly pastries at the french bakery she works at (which she managed to get for free :P) and did heaps of talking and catching up, walked around the city for a bit and then to the boardgame-cafe on lygon st she used to work at. we also got to play the games for free (hehehe) and dinner was on the house! when you come to melbourne jane is the person to look for, seriously :P

had this group presentation on monday, and i think i'm slowly getting over my fear of public speaking! still nervous as hell of course, but they subside when i'm actually talking. i have another individual one next friday, hope it gets better :)

loving the leather jacket!

rainy days ahead. sigh such is spring :(

i will end this post with a picture of myself looking distraught over the condition of my frizzy, uncombed hair since i got it permed O:

ciao amici.
